2008-2010 Strategic Plan

The purpose of this plan is to create a compelling and flexible vision that will drive the actions of the organization from 2008-2010.  Below is the summarized plan that guides Foster Care Alumni of America planning and decision making.

Strategic Objective #1: Increase the effectiveness and credibility of the organization by expanding its membership reach and effectiveness.

Strategic Objective #2: Ensure that FCAA remains relevant to, representative of, and enriched by the diverse populations found in foster care.

Strategic Objective #3: Ensure FCAA’s short-term and long-term financial viability leading to eventual financial independence.

Strategic Objective #4: Ensure the governance capacity of the association meets the leadership needs of the organization through a Board-directed development plan.

Strategic Objective #5: Create the membership programs that will enhance our ability to create opportunities for meaningful member connections.

Strategic Objective #6: Enhance FCAA’s visibility with alumni, in the child welfare community and with the general public through a comprehensive public relations and communication campaign that maximizes our financial resources available.

Strategic Objective #7: Launch FCAA’s public policy arm to enhance our ability to transform the foster care system.

Strategic Objective #8: Develop FCAA’s professional expertise as an association.

Strategic Objective #9: Create an alumni leadership development program.

Strategic Objective #10: Partner with qualified research and funding partners to expand the body of knowledge about alumni of foster care that can inform and improve practice for those currently in and from care.
