“Our mission is to represent, connect and transform for those in and from foster care in Oklahoma. ”

— Foster Care Alumni of America, OK Chapter

The Oklahoma Chapter of Foster Care Alumni of America was made official in April 17 of 2016. Our mission is to represent, connect and transform for those in and from foster care in Oklahoma.

We ‘Connect’ our Oklahoma members by hosting regular meetings, our annual holiday reunion, and support local and statewide efforts working to improve systems outcomes and services for youth and families in and from foster care in our states. We work to ‘Transform’ the foster care experience for youth currently in care by raising awareness about foster care by participating annually in ‘FosterWalks’ and by attending and representing the youth, families, social workers and stakeholders voices in local foster care efforts.

We are mainly located in the two largest cities in Oklahoma; Oklahoma City and Tulsa. We also  have active members located throughout majority of the state.
We minimally hold three formal meetings within a calendar year in addition to our signature event planning meetings and participate in Foster Care Alumni of America, National chapter leader calls.
