HELP US GET FLUX INTO THE HANDS OF YOUNG PEOPLE, PROFESSIONALS AND FOSTER PARENTS

There are many ways you can help us make sure that the people who need FLUX the most will know it is available and have access.
BUY FLUX AND SHARE IT
Order a copy of FLUX for yourself and get an extra to share!  If you don't know a young person directly, you can always give your extra copy to a local public or school library, your area's foster parent association, or a local private or public foster care agency.

Are you able to purchase books for young people on a larger scale?  If you, your company, church or civic group would be interested, we'd love to work with you to sponsor books for the youth in your agency, city, county, or state.  Remember that there is a volume discount--which means you get much more for your money.  If you want to discuss this option, call our office at (703)299 6767 or email us at FCAA.
SPREAD THE WORD
Utilize the status message and wall areas of your social network sites (FaceBook, Twitter, MySpace) to make sure people know about FLUX.  Here are a few sample messages you can use:

FLUX: Life after Foster Care
New book available from Foster Care Alumni of America

FLUX is an honest, juicy, helpful look at the emotional transition from foster care to adulthood. Examining topics like building a support system, navigating relationships with family of origin, figuring out how to parent after growing up in the system, and making decisions about love/sex/relationships, FLUX combines real-life stories with pragmatic advice. Written by more than 100 alumni of foster care, FLUX is a unique resource for people in and from foster care as well as the professionals who serve them. FLUX was made possible by a generous grant from the Andrus Family Fund. For more information (including a sample chapter) or to order your copy, visit www.FosterCareAlumni.org/FLUX

If you have other ideas for making sure that young people have FLUX to help them through their emotional transition, please call our office at (703)299 6767 or email us at FCAA.

FLUX was made possible through a generous grant and the expertise of the Andrus Family Fund, dedicated to supporting the successful transition of youth from foster care to independence.
